Why I use Project Life

I started Project Life as a way to get my photos off of my computer and to record our daily lives. Time passes so quickly with a child and I didn't want to forget a thing. I take photos of every little detail. And it adds up to roughly 10,000 photographs year. Ridiculous, I know.

I don't want those photos just sitting on a hard drive somewhere. I want to see, touch, taste them... OK, not taste. Enter Project Life. A simple concept with a short list of supplies needed.

I admit, I'm a bit addicted to Becky Higgins' products. I have many core kits, theme kits, mini kits and on and on. But! I AM making progress. I've documented all of 2012 and am up to August of 2013. Not too shabby for having just started in March of this year.

I will post some pictures in the coming weeks of a few of my layouts and my organization of all the products. I have a simple style with very little embellishments. I like the focus to be the photos that I worked hard to capture.

  1. I just started recently and wish I have made as much progress as you. But I am enjoying looking at what I have already made and sharing the memories with others. Look forward to seeing your layouts!

    1. Thanks! It's nice to finally have a "purpose" for taking all those photos now. Cheers!

  2. Love this! Love the patterns and color, but also that the focus is still on the actual photos (which you are so skilled at capturing!).

    1. Thanks, Alison. It's kind of taking over my life (and my dining room table!). Tilly loves looking through all the pages and reliving the memories. That makes it all worth it for me.
