Day 15's activity was to make a Gingerbread House. We were over-achievers and made 2!
The first one we made was a sweet little cardboard one that we got from Kiwi Crate. Have you heard of Kiwi Crate? They are the little lifesavers when your child is begging to do a craft and you have no time/energy/supplies/patience on hand. Grab one of those cute green boxes you've been hoarding and get to work! I am continually impressed by these kits. They contain every. little. thing. you need to complete the craft down to scissors, tape and glue!
A Kiwi Crate monthly subscription would make an excellent gift. (hint hint Grandma!)
Then we tackled the traditional gingerbread house kit. Tilly learned very quickly that the candy included in those kits is terrible. So she stuck to eating the marshmallows instead.
It's nice to have the Kiwi Crate cardboard gingerbread house for her to play with and we stick to just looking at the real one now that we know how yucky it actually is. ;)
