Woo hoo! Back for another round of Blog Hopping with The Pocket Source. If you're in to Project Life, have you visited The Pocket Source yet? This is a site dedicated to all this pocket-scrapbooking. None of those pesky traditional scrapbook layouts to wade through. All pockets all the time. If you take a look around there be sure to friend me, too! I may or may not be mentioning The Pocket Source next week, too. So be on the lookout!

For those of you who haven't been here before, I'm Melissa. Welcome! I'm an Etsy Shop owner, mom to an almost 4 year old daughter, camera lens addict, and obsessed with taking photos and actually PRINTING them thanks to Project Life and the pocket scrapbook style. Here's 34 More Things you should know about me.

This time around on the Blog Hop the topic is organization. I want to share with you how I organize all of my Project Life goodies and where I work. You should be coming to me from Stephanie's blog Bee Tree Studios. And the next stop on the hop is Lisa's blog Chaos Meets Creativity

But, while I've got you captive here, on to Week 12!
For week 12 I used all kinds of bit and pieces. A little bit of Studio Calico's Office Hours Project Life kit. A little bit of the new

Project Life 2014 | Week Eleven

Week Eleven? Check! Can't believe I've kept up with this so far. This week I played with the Studio Calico March "Office Hours" kit exclusively. I love the colors and components of this kit so much! 20140318-IMG_3336.jpg 20140318-IMG_3337.jpg 20140318-IMG_3338.jpg 20140318-IMG_3339.jpg 20140318-IMG_3342.jpg 20140318-IMG_3343.jpg
Once again I was drawn to black and white photos this week. It started with the photos of Tilly jammin' with her Daddy. They just begged to be converted to B&W. Then I just pulled a few pics off of instagram that were already converted to B&W. I love that I'm not tied to specific colors for the entire spread when I use a few B&W photos.
I was pretty happy to have a few sunny days last week. My toes came out of hibernation and into Hasbeens for the first time in a long time. Ahhh!!
Love the yellow and green in this kit. It worked perfectly with the picture I took on the seed aisle and just screams Spring to me!

Want to link up your latest Project Life spreads?? Do so below! I'd love to see what you've been up to.

Project Life | Week Ten

Week Ten in the books! I'm finally feeling caught up after our trip to Disneyland and have even managed to squeeze in some time to work on my Creative Team duties and play with Deena Rutter's new digital collection "Every Little Bit - Charmed" from Pixels & Co. What a perfect kit to play with for this rainy week in Seattle. Rain drops, Wellies, and the optimistic phrase "Think Spring" beckoned. I also used several of the coordinating digital papers to fill in those little 2x2 squares on the left hand side.

Once again, minimal journaling. I mean, I barely took enough photos to fill a 2 week spread. Not much happened in our lives this week except sleep, eat, work, school, gym, sleep. Luckily, Deena's cards are super cute, making my life look full and beautiful. :) Easy peasy.

Project Life | Week Nine at Disneyland!

Week Nine is finally done. As you can see, we were a little busy at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland! We spent three days in the park. Three rainy, soggy, sometimes sunny, mostly drizzly days. Here was weather forecast for the time we spent in "Sunny" California.
"Oh, forecasts change", they said.
"It won't be that bad!", they said.
"At least you'll have short lines!", they said.
It didn't.
It was.
We did.
But, we still had a blast. Matilda had a smile plastered on her face nearly the entire time. What a magical age 3.5 is to experience Disneyland and all its wonder.
I took a total of 867 photos during our 4 day trip. Seems a little light for me, in all honesty. But, the rain did prevent me from pulling out my big camera more than I wanted to. And a quick note about the camera gear that I chose for this trip. I shoot with a Canon 6D. Love this camera. Full frame, great ISO performance, etc etc. My biggest concern was which lenses would make the cut for the trip. I have a slight obsession with lenses. They are all my babies. How can you just pick 1 or 2 favorites? What I did know was that portability and weight would be my biggest concerns. I already knew that my little workhorse, the Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 Lens, would be coming with. I adore this lens. Lightweight, tack sharp, handles video beautifully!! Done.

I mean... look how CUTE!

I also decided to bring along my Canon 24-70 2.8 II lens thinking I would want some wide shots of the views and a little tighter shots of Tilly on the rides perhaps. And wouldn't you know it? That lens spent the entire vacation in the hotel room safe. Well, if the weather had been drier I might have braved bringing it out with us one day. But, simple was the key. And I am so happy with how the 40mm performed that I would probably just bring that along for the next time. (Ha! Next time! Maybe 10 years from now.)

Onto the Project Life layouts. Whittling down 867 photos to 31 was tough. My only consolation is that I know I will be making a stand-alone Disneyland Vacation album, too. So those other photos won't have to forever hide out on my hard drive. More on that later.

Oh, and just because I can't possibly be asked to narrow down my photos, I included not 1 but 2 extra insert pages. Using Becky Higgins Design I to include 6 Instagram photos and a Design H for 4 more 4x6's and 4 3x4's.

Not a single bit of journaling added to these pages. I'll leave that for the Disney album. I think the photos do all the talking on these pages. After all, Simple = Done.
